From a leading life insurance company to global entertainment giant Cirque du Soleil, Pierre G. Desmarais has a proven track record in creative art direction, brand management, graphic design, marketing and advertising.
As Art Director at Cirque du Soleil for more than a decade, Pierre consistently delivered and oversaw strategic, imaginative and innovative advertising concepts in support of the company’s business objectives and marketing initiatives.
From directing a broad range of world-class photographers, artists and models, to managing the entire creative process, Pierre supervised the production of scores of souvenir programs for Cirque shows around the world. As unique as the shows they represent, these best-selling programs were by far the most profitable and popular item among the company’s 200 or so licensed products.
While at Cirque, Pierre was also responsible for ensuring brand continuity across all media. And in addition to implementing a number of creative eco-friendly solutions for all printed material, he also managed a number of personal projects for Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté.
Pierre is a teacher in spatial organization in the Professional Photography program at Inter-Dec College since January 2014.
