To guide children towards self-knowledge by helping them understand their thoughts, emotions and body to then use the resources at their disposition.
The well-being of our children is at the heart of our actions and concerns. The team firmly believes that child development begins with emotional well-being and self-confidence. Educators promote positive self-image by way of interactions that nurture a healthy self-esteem in every child.
Character-building begins at home with the parents who play a determining role. Parents have a primary responsibility towards the child and form guiding principles that we build upon. In this sense, the educators of the LaSalle des petits daycare and family members work as a team in the education of a child. Our childcare work positively impacts each child’s emotional, physical, mental, social and language development.
At LaSalle des petits, educational activities serve as a tool for character-building. We strive to maintain a respectful and caring learning environment to nourish a child’s personal development.
With 6,000 square feet of space, the Garderie LaSalle des petits is equipped with the latest educational training equipment that is designed to foster early development. The “blue room”, which you can see here, was designed for the 3-4-year old kids.
LaSalle College provides students a true understanding of the professional environment. The Fuchsia restaurant opened in 1996 and is a concrete example of how the College is concerned with offering real opportunities for learning to their students. This restaurant serves to the public and is where students in wine and food service, restaurant management or cooking can put the theory to the test.
In January 2012, the LaSalle des petits daycare opens its doors catering to the next generation of thinkers. Aspiring child care workers and early childhood educators studying at LaSalle College can observe and learn from the daycare’s work environment and understand the implication of the profession.
